Hey Puma, the last song we hear in season 1's finale is The blower's daughter performed by Damien Rice ( we only hear it as the closing credits roll though ). The song that plays just before that is Joseph Arthur's In the sun and it pretty much sums up all the storylines at that point.

As for the new season, well, unfortunately, I can't see it in my country either ( season 4 will probably only air in a year and a half here ! Rolling Eyes

).
I did read the discussion about the first episode on the appropriate thread though, but can anyone tell us a bit more about Bette ?
It seems she had a couple of funny lines, huh ?

BTW, puma, if you go up the the L Word info link at the top of the page and click on the episode summary link and scroll down to the episode info, it tells you the music played along with the cast of guest stars! Great resources around here! Smile

There was an intervention phone call before everyone checked out of the hotel the day after the not-wedding, where the girls and Max left a message on Bette's voice mail telling her to bring Angelica back, and that she has their support. Tina barges in and yells that she's gonna call the authorities and wreck her new career. They hang up, letting her know if Bette hears that, she won't come back. Tina threatens that if she isn't back in L.A. by the time she returns, she will never let her see Angelica again.

From a restaurant, while Angelica is eating happily with her left hand using utensils Exclamation

Bette talks to Joyce to find out how much trouble she's in. In the midst of the conversation, Bette gets a call from her new boss, Phyllis, who is making sure she's ready to start work.

Apparently Bette lets Kit know where she is because Kit comes to the motel to talk to her and is to take her to Joyce's office. That's where it got really nasty--both B & T gave some nasty shots to one another (there was a youtube that showed much of that confrontation; maybe now someone has posted the whole thing!) But they ultimately apparently worked out an uneasy truce allowing visitation, alternating every few days. But it seems that everyone is siding with Bette, though I think
Tina is being a bit sensitive about it all.

Alpha Bette is definitely back!

So how long is Bette supposed to have "disappeared" with the baby ? A night ? She left right after the "non-wedding" and came back the day after ? Am I getting this right ?
Well, if she only came back ( with Angie ) because of her new job, then it's definitely bad... Sad

I really hope we are supposed to believe there are other much more important reasons in her eyes.

The show starts the morning after the non-wedding. I'm frankly not clear just what the time frame is, though--I think there must have been an extra day.

By the time the gang does the intervention it hasn't even been 24 hours yet according to Alice. It's weird because I thought I heard Bette say to Joyce that she was in Northern California at the same time they were calling Bette? Bette said it wasn't hard crossing into the US border so it shouldn't be hard to cross into mexico. I guess when Bette was at the cafe she was already in the US? I was all confused at how many days Bette had Angelica. It seemed like 1 day then 2 days then who knows how many days when Angus told Kit he made an appointment for Monday and then we see Alice and Helena at the airport and I assumed it was daytime but then it shows Jenny,Max, Tina, and Henry in the same area at night. Was it the same day they left Whistler? Bette still had the same outfit on when she was in the cafe and when she was in the motel room and Kit got there. WHATEVER. Too confusing. I didn't notice Angelica was a southpaw until you mentioned it and I pictured her putting the food in her mouth. Angelica is sooo cute with her little fro and the outfit she was in when Bette and Tina were in joyce's office. That is one well behaved kid.
