I for one laughed thoughout most of this episode.
Ahh...Not much Bette or Tina time..and what little they showed of Tina i was a bit annoyed with her comments..although she still recind her comments about only having Angie have the time...it just proves that she's not all that behind the fact that Bette is the other parent...which is sad.
Bette with TA Nadia was ssoooooo funny..."Are you an Athlete?"
and Bette's : "Well i better not get in a ring with her!" hahahahahah

we can already see that IC is foreshadowing...with Bette and Tina...
Tina not knowing what's going, but for those Tina fans...at least they called her to look for Shy...
Max's story line is beginning to be more believable..and i'm actually watching it...
Jenny made me laugh loudly... It will be interesting how the article now affects her. I also liked the way she was trying to get Shy to swear...
Kit story was sad...and i was glad to see her go to Bette...and it answers my question of whether Angus was completely behind the abortion.
Papi was a trip...and Alice was awesome!!!!!!!!
She's become my new favorite character....
and can i just say Reaggeton anyone???
Man!! I was moving to the awesom Latin Beats this ep!!!

PAPI IS AWESOME!!!
we finally get to see papi and how she manages to get so many girls! she's my new idol lol. and bette gettin hit on! it's about damn time! for once i actually like jenny. she made me laugh when shay spilled milk on her bag and she had a wierd bout of tourettes. i think shane is sooo cute as a parent. i really wanna see more of that.

I missed the scene where everyone is at the Planet talking about Tina...
Now...this may come off as a Tina hater but i'm not...
so here it is...
One: Ya gotta give Bette some credit...she could have ranted and rave about alimony and all that other stuff but she didn't so that was cool.

She said what she felt in her heart. Tina could have gotten Bette's azz in jail and she didn't do that. She gave in much too quick to Bette for my taste. It goes to prove nothing that she doesn't want Bette to parent Angelica. It does go to prove that she felt that her two abortions played a role in her not being able to get pregnant for years and that she was responsible for that. She is sad for not having her baby with her as any woman would who gave birth to a child. It has nothing to do with her not wanting Bette to be Angelica's mother. Tina never waivered from her desire for Bette to be Angelica's mother and defended her right to the social worker and to henry outside of Bette's hearing that. Anger at each other for screwing with each other and a birth mother's longing to be with her child more than fifty percent of the time doesn't translate into Tina's not wanting Bette to be Angelica's mother. That has never been shown on this show.

Yeah, so funny. Bette better watch her step because she is about to step over an unethical line if she decides to screw this girl. It is totally unethical if she does but that hasn't stopped Bette from acting unethically before with Candace after she dissed Marina for screwing Jenny under Tim's nose.
I want Bette to be better than this especially after all of the hell she went through in past seasons. Did she learn nothing? Gah! And, if she does sleep with this girl she is just back to her old self once again. Are we to believe that after a dry spell of not having pussy, Bette didn't go out slumming for a chick to bring home and screw just to relieve herself? I would have cheered her on if she did that. But, no, I won't cheer on such unethical behavior if she screws this student who works for her no less.

Me too about Jenny's story. She is freaking sick man and is getting sicker as every episode goes by. I am looking forward to Jenny times 10 story even if it borders on the cartoonish but then again this whole show is slowing devolving into the animated genre. A word about the cursing on this show. I am not a fan of the over abundance of swearing on this show and think it is over the top frankly and another sign of lazy writing. But then again Jenny and Bette are Ilene's proxy's so that is to be expected. *big sigh and yawn for being bored by this*. Frankly, I loved Shane telling Jenny to shush her mouth in front of Shay. Shane did the same thing in S3 when the gang was talking about slang words for the vagina in front of Angelica and I cheered her on in that scene as well. I just love Shane even if I don't always love Kate's performance but I loved Kate in this episode.

It certainly was. I truly loved that scene and the classical music in the background. What can I say. But, you know what? Even though I loved that scene and I am glad Kit went to Bette, that scene would have had so much more resonance and would be an example of a well written show if Tina's abortions were mentioned. Kit could have asked Bette if she knew about Tina's two abortions and we could have had a truly insightful conversation about Tina and Bette and their trying to get pregnant for so long while still keeping Kit's sorrow about her abortion in the fore: both Tina and Kit's choices could have come to the fore and Bette could have been given some awesome lines and perhaps an insight into herself and her relationship with Tina if they wrote this as it should have been written. But, I don't expect anything that deep on this show so I will have to bitch and moan about the terrible writing and poor character development and cartoonish presentation of all of these characters.

Ah, Papi! I found this one of the most cartoonish characters ever introduced on this show. She could have been the lesbian road runner. I have been an active dyke for over twenty years and live in a big gay friendly city and I have never met nor heard of anyone who has slept with over 1000 women to say nothing that this girl is hardly out of her teens? How old does Papi seem? 25 at the most? Absolutely ridiculous that such a creature exists however old or young she is. And, what the hell does it say about Alice who goes looking for this unnatural creature not long after she looses the love of her life, Dana? Just absurd. And, that love scene between them. Not buying and it did nothing for me in terms of eroticism. In fact, that scene in the car and the position of their bodies made me recall that OMFG scene with Bette as Papi and Tina as Alice. Same positions except they were in a car and Alice wasn't preggers. And, for me it wasn't erotic just the opposite.
I loved Tina's scenes with that *******, scumbag boss and she had no choice except to do as he asked because of her overriding and mother lion protection of Angelica. I was a bit apprehensive that that scene with Helena would not play out as gently as they did that scene and Helena while hurt completely understood Tina's untenable position and even defended her to Bette when she dissed Tina but that is Bette and her comments about Tina and Tina's comments about Bette are bound to be subjective at this point because there is just so much unresolved anger between them.
I loved Shane's storyline with Shay. I am a sucker for warm and cosy and for kids who are in trouble and need protecting. This was the best part of the show for me because of that and because it was the least cartoonish in presentation.
As a subscriber to Showtime, I will keep watching even though I think this show has jumped the shark. I will continue to pay my $12 per month for Showtime and will stick with it until the end. But, I will continue to express my discontent with the absurdity of the content when I see absurdity and I will continue to express my disdain for the mediocre storytelling, the inconsistency with regard to characters especially Tina and Helena and the inattention to the tome of this series with regard to details that came before and that are totally disregarded in subsequent episodes.
The ratings for Episode 1 were in the dangerous Huff territory and we all know what happened to Huff and that show was truly wonderfully written for one thing.
Yes, the second episode was better than the first but I am still discontented with what I see on my screen.
Looking forward to seeing what the numbers are for this episode. |

That TA reminds me of the dumbass sorority girls I knew in college. Now, not ALL of them were dumbasses because my sorority had intelligent people in it so I don't wanna hear, "OMG GREEK HATER DIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
I'm seriously falling for Alice bigtime. In the first season I thought, "Eww wth is that?!" But now, holy crap! S3 was about ch-ch-changes and boy, Alice had a really good physical change!
Tina mentioning her 2 abortions made me think back to S1 when she and Bette lost their son. We saw that Tina just shut down before she started working with Oscar at the CSJ. I'm thinking she shut down so badly because she had willingly aborted 2 babies (I use the term loosely as we don't know how far along into the pregnancies she was and really I'd just rather not get into an abortion debate so moving along) and the death of her 3rd unborn child brought back the memories. Nature made the choice for her when she really wanted to be a mother. But I have to wonder if Bette knew about Tina's past. Not that that would've affected their interaction (or lack thereof) after the miscarriage. I don't know if IC had the idea of one day having Tina mention that part of her life but I like to think it helps us see she wasn't just pissed off that Bette wasn't there at that appointment. That's the optimist in me speaking I really don't know the truth behind it.

Bette is playing with fire if she even hesitate to reject Nadya's flirting. Ditto if she succumbs to Cybell's overtures. Prof and student (or even Prof and lesser instructor) canoodling is a firing offense.
Heather Matarazza as Stacey was very good. Jenny's reaction to an unflattering review will hurt her in the long run. Reviewers, even if they disagree about a book/movie/restaurant, will solidify against anything resembling revenge for an unfavorable review. A possible result is that, hereafter, no reviewer will mention Jenny or her work at all.
Shane was astonishing as a parent to Shay in the scene where she repeatedly censors Jenny's cursing .... but Shane isn't above using That Word in Shay's presence when a coworker is slow to bring him a smoothie.
Alice was very well coiffed with a flower in her hair for a Latino disco, obviously she (or the costumer) has very perceptive tastes and talents.
I learned a new move (or two) in the scenes with Popi. How I wish I had a chance to try them out....
It isn't clear if Helena made the first move to Popi, or Popi made the first move. Evidently Popi is nearly as rich as Helena used to be.
I gather that Moira's boss is UNAWARE that Max is (more or less) a woman. Last week I thought he was telling Moira that his daughter is an L and maybe they'd click. Not so. It appears that Max was believed by all involved to be male. Didn't we see this in Boys Don't Cry? |

| I for one LOVED this episode. I was laughing my *** off at many comments made by Alice, Shane, and especially Jenny. The kitchen scene where she wanted to get Shay to swear and kept swearing in front of him was priceless! I like the way they are incorporating the issue of parenthood on Shane and we get to see how she might be if she had a child of her own. I think it shows a more emotional side of her. I'm definitly going to replay this eppy all week long on my DVR, until the next one comes on, which I cannot wait for! |

I think they did a good job of casting the boy who plays Shay. He really does look like he and Kate could be siblings. I don't know about the acting though because I can never tell if someone sucks at it or not.

Tina telling people she thought were her friends that she misses her daughter has no bearing on whether she wants Bette to be Angelica's other parent. She thought she was talking to her friends, I guess she realizes that they aren't so much her friends anymore, again no support what so ever from them, no comfort, no understanding,
And as for Bette, well Tina could of had her arrested and didn't and Tina is entitled to 50% of that house, and she didn't anything from Bette. |

What was it about Tina that annoyed you so much,she almost don't have any scene time,or was it the fact that she had scene time that annoyed you  And Tina is going to miss her only child if she has her only 50% of the time.I mean WTF dose she not have the right to say she misses her child NOW
