Ohhh, Im the first..

Well, first off, episode 1, I know they've cut/edited a few scenes but how fab was that opener? I read on the script that Anjelica was meant to reach up and crawl on to tibettes lap at the meeting....I wonder if thats permenantly cut...for some reason..hmm

Every other scene with Bette and Tina was great too. Im so happy to see Tina getting more screen time, and that she was 'one of the gang' hanging with Alice and Shane. Jenny is such a biatch to her...Im sensing that at some point (probably in the future as right she has to kiss her ***) Jennys face is going to be met with Tinas hand (or possibly Bette's hand...) I loved the little glances she was giving Bette in the Planet...so cute...So many possibilities are swimming around my head wondering where Ilene is going to take this connection between them. I have only 3 words for the pool scene...'Oh My God!' Loved it and I'm glad it was in the first episode....that Im sure will keep us going for a few weeks until maybes...hopefully...we get a little more 'sexual tension' between them..'

Im still really not feeling it for Jodi and Bette...Jodi herself doesnt bother me so much, but IMO they dont click. I mean she walked in the door and already she's wanting to control Bette, and as we all know, its not in Bettes's nature to be controlled. Being in control is when Bette is at her best and funnest..

For Alice, Ive heard rumours of what her character is going to get up to and Im not sure how to comment. This ourchart podcast sounds funny. I wonder if she'll interview the rest of the gang for it. I think Tasha is great, she has such a great voice.

Phyllis is so funny....with her little notebook! I think we're going to get a lot of comedic (is that a word?!) moments out of her this season!

Shane is her usually naughty self. I loved the little dance she did to Alice when Paige turned around. Too funny!

Poor Helena...Im agreeing with the other girls...dont drop the soap...I wouldn't...


I think this is the longest post ive ever done...I guess Im just excited lol!

Kell!!!! OMG I was SO excited when I watched that episode. From the interviews I had done, I just "sensed" something was going to happen this season. I didn't feel it was going to be the whole package, but enough to make TiBetter's quite happy indeed.

The scenes with Angelica just warmed my heart completely. I really cannot wait to see these two women raise their girl no matter what capacity that is at first (seperate homes, or together at some point *fingers crossed*).

As for Jenny. Sorry...have no interest in the least with her storyline. I just could never get myself to appreciate much with that character. Season 1 was the first time I could really feel for her, her confusion. Now she is just a vindictive and spiteful B-Word! LOL

Helena I felt very bad for. She just isn't cut out for prison life. Where I knew it was television and JUSt a show, I was able to laugh a little by the discomfort and her lack of interest in the food. There were definately some funny scenes there.

Tina is looking HOT HOT HOT!!!! Though the small clips Showtime had been showing up to now indicated so. Loved the whole pool scene. It was splendid seeing her reach back and untie her top. MEeeeoooOW! When I saw Bette try SOOOOO hard to look away from that candy I was melting for her. I sense good things.....

i think they need to do something with jenny, and she realli needs to be set rite by tina and bette last season she was such a bitch.
i didnt like paige at first, cause i loved carmen but shes arite

Tina is deff still in love with bette, and bette must feel it a little too by the whole pool thing and leading the school to believe they were still together.

Anybody else get the vibe that paige is a kinda psycho?? 10$'s says she burnt down the skateshop. it was pretty wierd when she said "it was just sex, i can live with it" maybe a little obsessed? idk

IN PRISON!! now this is going to be an adventure for sure, when her mother took away her money she could BARELY live in the normal ( well, yano, non Rich ) world. She didnt even know what a hyndai was..now shes in prison!?!?! hopefully for her sake she gets out soon.

As for me, I absolutely loved the interaction between Tina, Bette and Shane in the first scene... so hilarious! Tina of course, delicious!! I only just watched the pilot episode the other day so it was very clever how they used the same clothes / hair styles in this scene! Well done!! Bette saying to Tina... only if you share... oh wicked fun!

The whole episode to me felt fresh and fun, or is it just withdrawal symptons?? Not sure, but I really do have a good feeling about this season!

I couldn't stand Jenny this episode, felt so sorry for Tina but knew she had to swallow her pride to get her job done.... Lets just see if Jenny gets some Karma?? Fingers crossed!

Jodi - OMG you're an idiot!! Why would you treat Bette like that? What makes you the bees knees and allowed to control Bette and she can't control you?? Ever heard of a relationship working two ways? It can't all be about you and your ways of the world, you are squashing Bette's personality and I can't stand it! Of course being the Tibette I am I'm very bias! But seriously... Bette was being incredibly sweet, if I was Bette I would have found it very hard to get 'in the mood' after that let down!

Bette - still crushing on Tina so it seems! There is no way in hell she would have stopped, took a breathe and then walked down to see Tina in the pool if she didn't feel something!! Also asking Tina about her sex life seemed to me like she was curious and definitely seemed happy to hear about Kate and her not lasting! Love the flirting, the looks, the questions... very entertaining!

Tina - OMG... OMG... OMG... She is looking sensational, more so than other seasons! More confident, stronger, opinionated, sexy! Love her!! She's become at one with herself that's for sure and Bette is so going to love it! hehe!

Shane - it is good to see Shane acting very sexual, it's lots of fun to watch. How bout when she was in prison and starts chatting up that chick? Classic! A lot has been said on her failed relationships etc but for pure entertainment wise I'm glad she's single again and playing the field... just makes for more fun for me!

Helena - what a goddess, again this will be intersting and fun to watch her interaction in prison! Lets hope some of season 2 Helena comes out and she becomes more aggressive, sexy as!

Max - blah, boring! Not much to say on him yet!

Phyllis - excellent, love her new found freedom! Looking forward to seeing this character develop more and becoming at one with who she is... looks like she's already on the way...

Alice - my gorgeous fav! What a rock she is to this show, god I love her! She was just too cute and adorable, watching TV seeing the news on Iraq! The gorgeous squel when she sees Tasha, oh I love these two together and who would have thought that was possible after Dana? Again funny as heck... Love her!! Looking forward to watching some of the un edited sex scene, god I'm a perve!

All in all I was really happy with the start of this season... what a contrast from the boring and really bland season opener from last season?? They're setting it up to be a fun loving season and I'm forever going to stay positive and know this will come true!

I've been impatiently waiting to post my comments here since I wrote them on Sunday and posted in two other places that were already discussing the ep! I've added a few things, but it's pretty close to my original. Then I'll go read everyone else's stuff!

Talking, laughing, loving, breathing…argh! Guess we’ve got the same theme music again, and I have mixed feelings about that!

It’s pretty funny watching “Nina” be a lech! That scene with Shaun, Bev and Nina is about as cheesy as you would expect, coming from Jenny’s pen!

“Diversity points”—what a laugh! Angie’s hair is combed in, I guess, 21st Century Afro-puffs! And poor Lucas—that’s really a lot of otherness to put on a kid!

Helena is truly not cut out to be in jail! Since we know that Catherine knows Peggy, I’ll bet she’s aware of what has happened and will let Helena sweat it out awhile… Hope we’ll find out how and where she got caught! How the heck much was her bail? That scene when the girls came to visit was...interesting! And Shane was hitting on a prisoner?

It’s pretty funny that Alice is upset that Peggy is calling their sex life “sweet” and “vanilla”!

Shane and Paige—a train wreck in the making, as everyone seemed to already know! Pretty ironic that Kit said Shane wasn’t on fire!

Alice was so insensitive with her “off-topic” comment to Max, and I hate how that discussion was just left hanging. But any opportunity to see Tasha and hear her say, “I love you too, baby” is welcome!

So at least Angus and Kate were mentioned, and we saw Paige, but not a peep about Papi. More folks ending up in the land of the dead Marios. I hope Grace doesn’t end up there…

The fact that Jenny’s rewrite was loved by men panders to what I perceive as the male fantasy about lesbians—yuk! And it’s pretty sad that Jenny, with her experiences over the past few years, feels that this is an accurate way to portray her allegedly fictional friends! What an insult! And I am not looking forward to this movie within the show!

Joyce and Phyllis—don’t really see that going anywhere.

I wanted so much to see the Bette-Jenny smackdown! I’ve been waiting for that since the “dead f*cking meat” comment!

And if she was Jenny x 10 last year (as MK told us last year), she’s 20 gig Jenny this time around! Kudos to Marissa, the Episcopalian, for quitting! And I want to just slap Jenny senseless! MK is doing a great job being the villain!

And doesn’t Tina look hot this year? We certainly saw a lot of her in this first ep. Loved that nearly “gag-me” look when she found out Jenny was going to direct “Les Girls” (as opposed to “Lez Girls”). And that look she gave Jenny when she said about Hodie, "They're so in love!" Maybe she’ll be the one to smack Jenny down!
When did she become Exec. VP of Shaolin?

Don’t like Bette’s shorter hair, but she still looks good! What was up with her being so distracted by Tina being topless if she’s so into Hodie? And why is she so interested in Tina’s extra-curricular activities? Tina sure got her with that “Ouch!”-inducing comment! It really wasn't any of her business!

Joyce is oily, but I like her a lot!

Sorry, I just don’t get the Shane magnetism—I just like a woman with meat on her bones!

Tina sure is distressed about Hodie! We know she told Kate that she wanted Bette back and such, but c’mon! Even though I do want a TiBette reunion, I don’t like the way it's starting out! It's gotta be plausible and not slapped together! We know these two have lots of residual feelings but please, please, please, IC & Co., if you're gonna do it, do it right!

Bette, admit it—you’re a control freak, but Jodi clearly overreacted about the tablecloth! That blindfolded scene with B & J had so much potential, but it fell flat! I do like Jodi, but she and Bette just don't have the chemistry needed to make that pairing believable. Looks to me like they're just going through the motions. They should have given most of that time to Tasha and Alice at the end (but maybe that scene was edited, too)!

Did I already say that I could always watch and listen to Tasha?

Ooh, Paige! Did you torch Wax? That’s a bit over the top, don’t you think? So, was the message that if Shane had been in love with her, she would have put up with Shane’s dalliances? I guess it’s more important to be emotionally faithful than to be physically faithful for some—as Paige said, “It’s just sex.” Guess they needed to talk that through before they decided to “U-Haul” it!

Hmm…I think the time frames are still inconsistent! In rewatching 4.12, Bette tells Phyllis to have a nice spring break. Yet, Helena was arrested on 1/18/08. So unless they have spring at a different time of year in California, that doesn't add up! And how the heck were Paige and Shane together 5 1/2 months?

Bring on ep 2! Now we have to wait almost two weeks!

It's interesting how much stuff got changed from the script to the show! Some should have been kept in. Had they not cut the ep short for promos, some of that dialogue and those scenes could have been kept in!
