L6 Convention in Blackpool, England - Sept. 18-20, 2009

if the show is finished and Laurel and Jennifer are not going to be at the L6 I have no interst in going again. I did the L5 because I thought we would have MORE seasons and Jennifer and Laurel were both there. But with no more seasons and no Laurel and Jennifer I have no interest.

btw, for those who are going, don't panic if you didn't get your tickers, this is what Sean said:

Nope, tickets haven't been mailed out yet. The event is still 9 months away, so I'm very surprised that there is any concern or need for a rush. All rival events send tickets out one to two weeks before the event.

FYI, I purchased a gold ticket for this event but probably won't go so if anyone out there wants to go and hasn't yet purchased a ticket, consider buying mine. I will let it go for what I paid. Just PM me.

The gold tickets are the best because you get priority seating and the great meet and greet where you spend a significant amount of time with the individual actors at a round table of maybe 6 people just talking for about a half hour. It is worth the extra money. Plus you get priority tickets for the photos sessions.

Trust me when you get to the convention, you only have to produce the ticket and they give you the printed pass to wear. My gold ticket for L5 was purchased by someone in Switzerland I a from the states) and it didn't even have a name on it!

I don't know anyone who has ever been asked for identification when they presented the ticket for the pass for the event.

You voted, and I listend. And I booked the latest guest on how you all voted here.

I've seen a lot of other convention organisers have polls for guests on their forums, but I've never seen any of them then book the winner of that poll (or even any of the runners up), so I'm going to quickly pat myself on the back!

So we've currently got 5 great guests for STARFURY: L6! You can't say better than that!

And I'm still in negotiations with a sixth and final guest. They aren't main cast, they were a very popular guest star on the show who has had an amazing career in films. Hopefully we'll get the deal closed soon.

See you all in September for what I'm sure will be the most amazing L-Event yet!

From the Starfury

A big thank you to everyone who voted in this poll. It has proved to be very useful, and I have acted upon the information gained from it already to make sure that L6 and all future L-Events provide you with just what you want.

Kate Moennig came out top (then, I suppose it's usual for Shane to be on top!), and as a result I booked her to appear at STARFURY: L6.

The budget for L6 is now pretty much set. I'm looking at one more guest, but they won't be a main cast member. So I don't require any further guest suggestions or requests.

I will be using the information gathered in this poll when booking guests for STARFURY: L7 next year. At the time the poll closed, the most wanted guests were:-
1. Kate Moennig
2. Laurel Holloman
3. Erin Daniels
4. Rachel Shelley
5. Lauren Lee Smith
(And it should be noted that both Mia and Pam were initially doing very, very well in the poll when it started, and only stopped getting votes when they were announced as guests for L6, so they should really have polled higher).

Many thanks for all your help and for taking part. At this point I’m going to ask for no further guest requests or suggestions.

Hmmmmmm...I knew there would be an L7 but didnt realise would be soon. So is that going to be like next year?

Im wondering who he is going to pick for the last guest...Im am totally baffled.
